Box Truck Driver June 19, 2026

Located in Hickory, NC

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00

Safely operate company trucks or delivery vehicles while following all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
Transport and deliver products, materials, and equipment to customer sites, warehouses, and designated delivery locations on scheduled routes.
Load, secure, and unload materials while ensuring cargo is handled properly to prevent damage during transport.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking brakes, tires, fluid levels, lights, and overall vehicle condition.
Maintain accurate delivery records, shipping paperwork, bills of lading, and obtain customer signatures when required.
Verify inventory and confirm all materials match delivery orders before departing for scheduled deliveries.
Communicate with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and route changes.
Assist with warehouse duties, material staging, and general loading/unloading operations when not on delivery routes.
Follow GPS routes, optimize delivery schedules, and maintain efficient time management throughout daily operations.
Represent Systel professionally by providing excellent customer service during deliveries and customer interactions.
Maintain cleanliness and basic preventative maintenance of assigned company vehicle.
Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, transportation compliance, and proper equipment handling.

Previous experience as a delivery driver, route driver, box truck driver, or commercial driver preferred.
Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record required.
CDL preferred but not required (depending on vehicle type).
Ability to lift 50+ pounds consistently throughout the shift.
Experience loading/unloading materials in warehouse or distribution environments preferred.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain strict delivery deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and professional attitude when interacting with customers.
