Monday through Friday
7am-4pm
Essential Job Duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and required shipping documentation.
- Schedule and dispatch company or third-party trucks for customer deliveries and material pickups.
- Coordinate daily shipping schedules with production and warehouse personnel.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records using computer systems.
- Communicate with drivers, freight carriers, vendors, and customers regarding delivery schedules and shipment status.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, damaged materials, or discrepancies.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (if certified).
- Ensure all shipments meet company quality standards before leaving the facility.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas while following all safety procedures.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed.
- Perform other warehouse and logistics duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, dispatching, logistics, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred.
- Forklift certification or the ability to become certified is preferred.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office and inventory or shipping software.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Skills
- Experience scheduling freight and coordinating transportation.
- Knowledge of bills of lading, shipping manifests, and receiving documentation.
- Inventory control and warehouse management experience.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting production goals.
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing and warehouse setting and requires frequent interaction with production employees, truck drivers, freight carriers, vendors, and customers. Safety, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential for success.
