Job Description: Part-time Accounts Payable Specialist/Accounting Clerk
Responsibilities and Duties:
Follow detailed SOPs for all accounting transactions
Accounts Payable: accurately record payments and invoices into QBO
Accounts Receivable: accurately record sales receipts into QBO
Vendor Management: set up and manage vendor accounts in QBO
Annual 1099 reporting: manage W-9’s, categorize reportable payments, prep filings
Payroll: assistance with payroll processing, monthly tax deposits and reporting
General: maintain detailed records, paper, and digital: scan and file documents
Required Skills and Experience:
Associate’s degree or certification in accounting
3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
2+ year 1099 reporting experience
1+ year payroll processing experience
Working knowledge of GAAP
Intermediate knowledge of IRS 1099 reporting requirements
Intermediate/advanced QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Intermediate Google Workplace (Sheets, Gmail, Drive, etc.)
Strong math skills and ability to investigate discrepancies in calculations
Attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask to meet deadlines
Ability to work in a busy office environment
Desired Skills and Experience:
Advanced degree in accounting or related field
Tracking and reporting by classes and jobs
Cash flow projections
Non-profit accounting and recordkeeping requirements
Grant budgeting
Designated funds tracking
Compensation:
Salary Range: $20-$26/hour, depending on experience
Benefits available to regular full-time and part-time employees.
Work Schedule:
All work must be performed in-office during normal business hours. A detailed schedule will be negotiated based on the availability of the Finance Manager and the applicant.
