Concrete Finisher Trainee

Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated and reliable Concrete Finisher Trainee / Experienced Concrete Laborer to join a growing concrete crew serving Linn and Benton Counties. This position is ideal for someone with at least one year of concrete experience who is looking to build upon their skills and grow within the trade.
The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with concrete placement and finishing and be comfortable using common finishing tools such as hand floats and edgers. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of residential and light commercial projects while continuing to develop valuable concrete finishing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with all phases of concrete preparation, placement, and finishing
Use hand floats, edgers, and other finishing tools to help achieve quality concrete surfaces
Assist with forming, grading, leveling, and finishing concrete
Support the completion of sidewalks, patios, driveways, slabs, curbing, and related projects
Load, unload, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Follow company safety procedures and supervisor direction
Perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 1 year of concrete finishing experience
Experience using hand floats and edgers
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
Valid driver's license
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Preferred:
Experience with residential or commercial flatwork
Experience setting forms and reading grade stakes
Experience operating basic construction equipment and power tools
