Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $20–$22/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time | 6-Month Contract
Express employment is recruiting a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician for a 6-month assignment. This is a great opportunity for a dependable mechanic who takes pride in quality work and safety.
Requirements:
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License (ODL)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
- Must provide personal hand tools (company supplies diagnostic tools)
- Basic computer skills for fleet tracking and email
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles to determine condition and identify worn or damaged parts
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (fluid changes, lubrication, safety inspections)
- Conduct wheel and tire repairs (mounting, dismounting, flat repair, balancing)
- Provide emergency roadside service and assist with vehicle recovery
- Maintain accurate vehicle service records and track downtime
- Perform final operational testing to ensure quality repairs
- Operate shop tools and equipment safely
- Safely operate forklift, scissor lift, and other machinery as needed
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using sound judgment and critical thinking
