Body & Paint Shop Lead – Heavy Truck Collision Repair
Location: Medford, OR
Schedule: Full Time
A well-established and growing transportation and logistics company is seeking an experienced Body & Paint Shop Lead to oversee truck and trailer collision repairs within their maintenance department. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating repairs, guiding technicians, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Superintendent of Maintenance, the Body & Paint Shop Lead will provide direction to a team of skilled technicians while managing collision repair processes for heavy trucks and trailers. This role requires strong technical knowledge, organization, and leadership skills to ensure quality repairs and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Write estimates for minor and major truck and trailer collision repairs, including insurance-level documentation.
- Establish and maintain a strong customer base while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate repair processes and direct technicians to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
- Organize, maintain, and purchase necessary parts and materials.
- Implement and maintain accurate invoicing processes for completed work.
- Manage work orders and personnel scheduling within the shop.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong knowledge of heavy truck and trailer collision repair processes
- Prior body shop or paint shop leadership experience preferred
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 80 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent reaching, grasping, and hand manipulation
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment including safety glasses, boots, hearing protection, and respirator when required
