Job Full Description
Temporary Customer Service Representative June 1st, 2026- September 30th, 2026. The wage is $20 an hour.
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our Customer Service team in a temporary capacity. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer support while assisting with a variety of administrative and payment-processing duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer service calls and assist customers with:
- Account setup and maintenance
- Starting or stopping services
- Payment processing
- Billing questions and general inquiries
- Website assistance and navigation
- Make reminder calls regarding payments and bill collections
- Open, process, and balance mailed payments
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Serve as cashier by accepting payments, making accurate change, and issuing receipts
- Balance cash drawer on a daily basis
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an office or customer service environment
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in:
- Microsoft Word
- Excel
- Outlook
- Teams
- Typing and 10-key entry
- Experience with utility software programs such as CIS, NextGen, and Remits is preferred
- Ability to accurately handle cash transactions and make change
- Professional demeanor with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service
