Job Full Description
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Custom Design & Paint Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will use your expertise to create custom automotive designs and apply high-quality, precision paintwork to vehicles. Whether it’s for complete car repaints, custom graphics, or specialty finishes, you’ll work closely with clients to turn their vision into reality. Duties:

Work directly with clients to understand their custom automotive design and paint preferences

Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces as needed

Apply custom paint designs, finishes, and graphics, including airbrushing, pinstriping, and multi-color schemes

Select and mix paints to achieve the desired colors and finishes for each project

Use advanced painting tools and techniques to ensure smooth, professional results
-
Apply clear coats and ensure proper drying times for flawless paint protection

Perform quality checks throughout the painting process to ensure perfection
-
Repair minor body damage, such as dents and scratches, before painting
-
Collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely completion of projects
-
Maintain and clean painting equipment, ensuring that tools and materials are in excellent working condition

Keep detailed records of materials used, time spent on projects, and any special client requests

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in custom automotive paint, designs, and techniques
-
Ensure that all work meets safety standards and complies with environmental regulations
Preferred Skills:

Proven experience in automotive custom paintwork and design, including airbrushing and graphic applications

Strong understanding of automotive paint systems, tools, and techniques

Expertise in mixing and applying various types of paint, including specialty and custom finishes

Ability to create intricate, detailed custom designs and graphics for automotive projects

Excellent attention to detail and precision in all aspects of work

Ability to work with various automotive materials and surfaces, including metal, fiberglass, and plastics

Knowledge of automotive body repair, including dent removal and surface preparation
-
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot painting issues

Ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their design vision

Proficiency in using paint booths and other automotive painting equipment

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
-
A portfolio showcasing your custom automotive design and paint work is a plus
-
A valid driver’s license and ability to work with vehicles in a shop environment
