We are seeking an experienced Automotive Paint Technician to join a reputable local body shop. In this role, you will prepare, mix, and apply paint to vehicles, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet or exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of paint systems and color matching, and takes pride in delivering exceptional results.
Job Duties:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming
- Mix and apply paint using proper blending and refinishing techniques
- Match paint colors accurately using paint codes or color matching systems
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality and consistency, performing touch-ups as needed
- Maintain paint booth cleanliness and equipment to ensure proper operation
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations regarding paint materials and disposal
- Collaborate with body repair technicians and shop managers to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain inventory of paint materials and supplies
