Job Full Description

Are you a compassionate leader with a passion for mental health and helping youth thrive? We’re looking for a Licensed Residential Clinical Mental Health Supervisor to join our dedicated team in Portland. This is your chance to make a real impact by supporting a team of clinicians while working directly with youth and families in need of behavioral health services.

We’re a nonprofit organization with deep roots in the community—serving over 7,000 kids, teens, and families each year since 1947. Our work is centered on trauma-informed care, and we proudly follow the Sanctuary Model. If you're looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same and where your leadership can drive meaningful change, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll supervise a team of four clinicians, provide clinical oversight, and ensure all treatment and documentation aligns with best practices and ORR (Office of Refugee Resettlement) standards. In addition to case supervision, you’ll step in to support youth when needed, help manage behavioral challenges in a trauma-informed way, and play a key role in training and mentoring staff.

What We're Looking For:
We’re seeking someone who is licensed—or working towards licensure with plans to obtain it within one year. You should have a strong clinical background, leadership experience, and a commitment to creating a positive and professional work environment. If you’re excited about staff development, youth advocacy, and ongoing learning, you’ll thrive here.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of 4 clinicians providing behavioral health services in a residential setting
  • Provide oversight of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with ORR and state standards
  • Participate in or lead youth activities, offering support in moments of behavioral escalation using trauma-informed strategies
  • Conduct individual and group clinical supervision sessions
  • Train new clinical staff and support their professional development
  • Model and promote trauma-informed care and practices using the Sanctuary Model framework
  • Maintain a small caseload and provide direct services as needed
  • Stay up to date with changes to ORR guidelines and ensure organizational compliance
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages growth and learning
  • Participate in ongoing training and support opportunities for staff

Benefits:

  • Medical insurance

  • Optical coverage

  • Dental coverage

  • Life Insurance

  • Short-term disability coverage
