We’re looking to bring on a dependable and detail-oriented Band Saw Operator to join a manufacturing team in a shop environment that values quality craftsmanship. In this role, you’ll be cutting raw materials to specific measurements using a band saw and other basic tools to support production and fabrication operations.
This position is ideal for someone with solid measuring skills, a steady hand, and a focus on safety. If you take pride in cutting materials right the first time and enjoy working with a team that gets things done, this role could be a perfect match.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operate horizontal and/or vertical band saws to cut metal and other materials
- Read and follow cut lists, blueprints, and measuring instructions accurately
- Set up materials and adjust saw settings for various cuts
- Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure precision and quality
- Maintain blades, clean equipment, and perform basic preventative maintenance
- Record measurements, part numbers, and quantities as needed
- Handle materials safely and assist with organizing stock in the shop
- Follow all safety guidelines and report any mechanical or quality issues
