Job Full Description
We’re on the hunt for a hands-on, detail-oriented MIG Welder / Fabricator to join a close-knit, custom fabrication shop near Tualatin! If you’re the kind of welder who enjoys building things from scratch—using real tools in a wide-open shop environment—this is the place for you.
This is not your typical production or assembly-line gig. You’ll be working on custom metal grating—large, heavy-duty grid structures made of metal bars—used in a variety of industries. You’ll be torch-cutting, fabricating, and welding each piece based on drawings. Every day is a little different, and your fabrication test will prove you’ve got the skills to take a blueprint and bring it to life with precision.

Primary Tools You’ll Be Using:
- Miller MIG welders with .035 wire (downhand welds only)
- Oxy-Acetylene torch (old-school heavy-duty setup)
- Iron Worker
- Skill saw
- Forklift
Job Duties:
- Interpret fabrication drawings and build parts to spec
- Use oxy-acetylene torch to cut steel parts to length
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel grating (primarily short welds – 1 to 2 inches)
- Operate forklifts and overhead equipment to move materials as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools to prep and finish pieces
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Inspect final welds for accuracy and quality
- Collaborate with shop team to complete custom fabrication projects
- Occasionally assist in other general shop duties as needed
