We’re hiring an MEP Estimator for a tight-knit, well-established third-party estimating firm in Tillamook County. This isn’t your average construction company—we don’t bid, buy, or build anything. Our client is a specialized consultant brought in to provide clear, accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in major public and commercial construction projects.
Think of it as creating the blueprint for a project’s budget—before a single shovel hits the ground. You’ll work with a team of experienced estimators who are ready to support and mentor you as two long-time team members prepare for retirement. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Estimate costs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across various project types
- Consider building size, function, and complexity to develop accurate cost projections
- Work collaboratively with the internal team and ask questions to clarify project details
- Prepare clear, organized, and well-documented cost estimate reports
- Handle a consistent workload of estimating projects (no post-bid responsibilities)
- Stay current with material and labor cost trends in the construction industry
