Job Full Description
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently over long distances while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards. Candidates must have a valid CDL and a strong track record of responsible driving and cargo handling.
Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan routes to meet delivery schedules
- Supervise loading and unloading of cargo; ensure cargo is properly secured
- Follow all state and federal large truck driving safety regulations and standards
- Complete documentation for mileage, fuel usage, tolls, and cargo
- Confirm inventory matches shipping documents and delivery manifests
- Refuel vehicle and perform basic maintenance checks (oil, tire pressure, etc.)
- Inspect truck daily for any damage or mechanical issues
- Report accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle problems to supervisors
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of assigned vehicle
