We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to support insurance claims processing and patient billing functions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate claim submissions, resolving billing discrepancies, and assisting patients with account inquiries. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a solid understanding of medical billing practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Duties
- Process and submit insurance claims with accuracy and required documentation
- Review, research, and resolve denied or rejected claims
- Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile patient accounts
- Communicate with patients regarding balances, statements, and billing questions
- Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and authorization requirements
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure proper coding and charge entry
