Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hands-On Supervisor for a well-established foundry located in Sparta, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in foundry operations and a willingness to work alongside the team while providing leadership, direction, and support. This is a great opportunity for a results-driven individual with a hands-on approach and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day foundry production operations, including melting, molding, pouring, and finishing processes.

Lead by example by performing production work alongside team members when needed.

Coordinate work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure production goals are met on time and within quality standards.

Monitor and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Train and mentor employees on foundry techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.

Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation and maintenance.

Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with maintenance or management to resolve them.

Maintain accurate production and labor records; report daily progress to upper management.

Encourage a team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in a foundry or heavy industrial environment (2+ years preferred).

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is required.

Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with foundry equipment and processes.

Willingness to work in hot, dusty, and physically demanding conditions.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications are a plus.
