Job Full Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CPA / Business Accountant to join our team in Sparta.
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or business setting. This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, preparing and analyzing reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable financial guidance to support business decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Conduct audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth initiatives
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with GAAP standards
Requirements:
- Active CPA license preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of professional accounting experience (corporate/business setting preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with accuracy
