Job Full Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Powder Coater for a company located in Smithville, TN. As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for applying powder coating to metal parts and products using various equipment and techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience in powder coating, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply powder coating using spray guns or automated equipment, ensuring even coverage and smooth finish
- Monitor oven temperatures and conveyor speeds to ensure proper curing of powder coating
- Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections and make necessary touch-ups or adjustments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of powder coating equipment and work area
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines
- Assist with other tasks in the finishing department as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience is a plus
- Familiarity with powder coating equipment and techniques
- Ability to interpret job orders and follow instructions accurately
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
