Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Engineering Technician to support our engineering and production teams in Sparta, TN. This role is responsible for assisting with product development, process improvement, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with product design, development, and implementation
- Conduct testing, data collection, and analysis to support engineering projects
- Troubleshoot equipment, processes, and production issues
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Assist with equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering support role preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Proficient with computers and basic software (Excel, data entry systems, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
