Job Full Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our team in Smithville, TN. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients while efficiently managing front desk operations in a medical office setting. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and maintain accurate records
- Process patient paperwork, co-pays, and billing information
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Manage filing, data entry, and general administrative tasks
- Keep the reception area clean and organized
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a medical office or receptionist role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and scheduling software
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Professional demeanor and appearance
Work Schedule:
- Part-time hours (schedule to be determined based on business needs)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 15 lbs)
