Job Full Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Operations Support Specialist to support logistics, inventory, and cross-functional operations within a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Morrison, TN. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate shipment coordination, inventory control, and seamless communication between internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Freight Coordination:
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound freight, including LTL, FTL, and other shipment types
- Prepare and verify all shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of compliance, etc.)
- Assign and track PRO numbers, SCAC codes, and carrier confirmations
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, freight brokers, and internal teams
- Maintain shipment logs and delivery status reports to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Inventory Control & SAP Management:
- Perform weekly cycle counts on raw materials, components, and finished goods
- Maintain accurate inventory records within SAP
- Execute SAP transactions including goods receipts, goods issues, transfer postings, and inventory adjustments
- Monitor minimum and maximum inventory levels; proactively notify management of shortages or excess stock
- Support physical inventory audits and annual inventory counts
Operations & Cross-Functional Support:
- Serve as a liaison between warehouse, production, procurement, and logistics teams
- Coordinate material staging to align with production schedules
- Support receiving inspections and verify documentation accuracy
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and traceability of all materials
- Maintain accurate and timely SAP data entry related to logistics and inventory
Qualifications:
- Proven experience handling freight coordination (LTL, FTL, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation (BOL, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices)
- Solid understanding of inventory processes, both physical movement and system tracking within SAP
- Experience executing SAP transactions related to logistics and inventory management
- Excellent vendor and carrier communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
