We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join a growing team in Smithville, TN. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating a variety of heavy equipment and a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and quality workmanship. Experience in grading, septic system installation, and utility services is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to:
  • Excavators
  • Skid Steers
  • Dozers
  • Backhoes
  • Loaders
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation work.
• Assist with septic system installation and utility service projects.
• Read and interpret site plans, grades, and project specifications.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Work effectively with crew members, supervisors, and subcontractors to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of heavy equipment operating experience required.
• Proven experience operating excavators, skid steers, and other construction equipment.
• Previous experience with grading, septic installations, and utility services preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties as needed.
