Safety Coordinator / Safety Watch
Location: Decatur, TX
Pay: Up to $30/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Overtime Available: Up to 12-hour shifts as needed
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire
A leading industrial jobsite in Decatur is seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator / Safety Watch professional to oversee site safety compliance and maintain a safe working environment. This individual must be confident and authoritative enough to stop work if unsafe conditions arise.
This is a hands-on field safety role supporting active industrial operations and ensuring OSHA standards are followed at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor jobsite activities for safety compliance
- Act as designated Safety Watch on-site
- Stop work immediately when unsafe conditions or behaviors are identified
- Ensure workers follow OSHA and site-specific safety protocols
- Conduct routine safety observations and communicate concerns to leadership
- Maintain strong awareness of surrounding work activity and hazards
- Support a culture of accountability and safety on the jobsite
Requirements:
- OSHA 30 Certification REQUIRED
- Previous industrial, construction, manufacturing, or jobsite safety experience preferred
- Ability to confidently enforce safety standards
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Pay & Benefits:
- Up to $30/hr depending on experience
