Job Title: Equipment Technician
Location: Orem/Provo
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Equipment Technician to join our team at [Company Name], a leading provider of equipment rentals. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of rental equipment, ensuring it is safe, reliable, and ready for customer use.
Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Troubleshoot and repair heavy construction equipment, specialty equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, Oil & Gas equipment), and other rental assets.

Inspect equipment before and after rental, documenting repairs and maintenance performed.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety policies.

Prioritize and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Assist with field service calls and emergency repairs when needed.
Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on technician/mechanic experience with diesel engines, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, Oil & Gas equipment).

Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems, with proven troubleshooting skills.

Education: High school diploma or GED required; ASE certification encouraged.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs., bend, squat, crouch, reach, and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, adaptability, and commitment to safety.
Preferred Backgrounds / Titles of Interest
Candidates with experience as a Shop Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Service Technician, Lead Technician, Service Foreman, or similar roles are strongly encouraged to apply.
