SUMMARY
We have an immediate need for an individual with construction project coordinator experience to oversee project startup and closeout for federal, state, county, municipal, and private construction projects. The successful applicant will be able to fulfill the following roles & responsibilities. Compensation and benefits will depend upon experience and qualifications
The Assistant Project Coordinator is responsible for providing content creation, editing, and formatting support to project management teams, marketing, and field personnel for a construction firm.
Pay Range - $20.00-$23.00 DOE
Roles & Responsibilities

- Receive and track new contracts and awards through the startup phase.
- Develop and complete submittal logs
- Coordinate Bond and Certificate of Insurance procurement and submittal
- Prepare and submit administrative submittal documents including:
- Site Specific Safety & Health Plans
- Construction Quality Control Plans
- Environmental Protection Plans
- Project Management Plans
- Develop and update submittal logs
- Manage project closeout procedures, including the procurement of warranties, as-builts, and other requirements
- Prepare, transmit, and follow-up on subcontracts and subcontractor information packets
- Coordinate regularly with Project Managers, Superintendents, and office staff
- Ensure that company procedures and standards are maintained
- Assist in the development of company procedures, standards, forms, and templates
- Supervise and direct Admin Support personnel
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and be very self-managed
- Knowledge of basic construction processes are desired but not required
- Individuals should have a background in writing, preferably technical writing
- Experience and strong proficiency with the complete MS Office Suite and PDF editing software (Acrobat, Nuance, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications a plus
- Experience creating construction submittals for federal clients (preferably DoD) a plus
- Experience managing subcontracting processes a plus
