Job Full Description

Express is hiring for a Front Gate - Security Attendant for a large manufacturing facility in Cowlitz County. Individual will be checking in all visitors coming and going from the plant as well as help support Environmental Health and Safety administrative duties.  

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Provide front gate coverage and being main point of contact for plant entry – Inspect ID
    • Perform periodic security inspections visitors carry in items and on incoming passenger and commercial vehicles
    • Maintain the Visitor database
    • Track inspection count and percentage performed for security at front gate
    • Perform as head count and communications person during emergency events and drills at facility
    • Receive inbound mail and distribute to mail slots for distribution, Operate postage meter and send outbound mail including – Pittsburg and Vancouver packets (as needed)
    • Assist the logistics department with shipping label preparation including maintaining supplies
    • Maintain the contractor pre-evaluation program
    • Maintain the locks required for the lockout/tagout program
    • Perform various data entry tasks as needed.
    • Maintain the inventory of work permits, labels, printer cartridges, and other miscellaneous supplies
    • Track contractor hours worked
    • Maintain the records library; file correspondence with regulatory agencies, daily production records, etc.
    • Coordinate various contractor activities including janitorial service
    • Process procedure updates and act as a backup to the procedure web administrators for document control
    • Assist the EHS&S and other departments with miscellaneous tasks as needed

 

Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

·        GED or HS Diploma required. Associate degree preferred.

·        Must be able to obtain US Coast Guard – Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Employer will pay cost

·        Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and activities with minimal supervision.

·        Strong data management and organizational skills required.

·        Must possess proficient Microsoft office computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel & Access.

·        Ability to learn ERP systems, prior experience preferred

·        Ability to work collaboratively with others (employees, customers, vendors, applicants, visitors)

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Compensation and Work Schedule 

$19.00/hr. Work schedule Mon-Fri. 5 -8 hours a day - long hours and some weekend work required for shut downs as well as sick or vacation coverage.
