Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Machine Operator / Delivery Driver for a local company in the Cowlitz County area. This position will be safely and efficiently assisting with the machine shop operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Setup, operate multiple equipment according to the information on the job travelers.
- Operate equipment to maintain efficiency while achieving the dimensional accuracy and surface finish required.
- Read and interpret the work order traveler
- Select and position tools and fixtures
- Adjust machine settings
- Perform first piece inspection process, adjust set up as required
- Inspect product to insure quality
- Handle and store blades properly to avoid damage
- Recognize abnormal operating conditions and shut down equipment. Seek assistance to resolve problems.
- Use proper measurement equipment to insure quality, including protractors and calipers
- Log in and out of jobs, providing all required information on time spent, production, rate, scrap, etc.
- Perform planned periodic maintenance on assigned equipment including cleaning, adjusting fluid levels, and lubrication
- Operate forklift, hand trucks, hoist and pallet jack as needed
- Follow all safety procedures, including the wearing of all personal protective equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and order of work area
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Assist in troubleshooting and repair of equipment
- Drive van as needed to deliver finished good and pick up raw materials
- Able to operate lathe to machine relieve carbide bottoms, and other task as needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to interpret drawings, identify dimensions, add and subtract fractions, measure accurately with a caliper to .005 inches
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and overtime on an as needed basis, including extra hours during the weekdays, Saturdays and occasionally on Sundays or holidays
- Physical ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Pay: $20.00
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm
