Job Full Description
Overview: The Fleet Mechanic plays a key role in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing various systems on equipment and vehicles, including but not limited to semi-trucks/trailers, aerial lifts, forklifts, excavators, backhoes, cranes, air compressors, welders, pickups, and flatbeds. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly skilled, and adaptable problem-solvers with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, service and repair various systems on equipment and vehicles; including but not limited to semi-trucks/trailers, aerial lifts, forklifts, excavators, backhoes, cranes, air compressors, welders, pickups, and flatbeds
Order parts.
Use a scanner to diagnose Vehicle problems
Maintain, Clean and organized work area including service truck.
Education Required:
High school Diploma or Equivalent Certification
Preferred: Successful completion of training courses in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems on heavy machinery and vehicles.
Preferred: Class A CDL license.
Experience Required:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems on heavy machinery and vehicles.
Required Skills:
Must be proficient in repairing diesel/gas engines and related components.
The ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Must be safety oriented.
Must be a highly motivated, self-starter with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
Commitment to exemplary attendance record.
Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record
