Production Manager
Job Summary
The Production Manager will oversee the daily assembly and sewing operations of a flag and banner manufacturing facility. This role is also responsible for managing warehouse and shipping activities. The selected candidate will be expected to independently meet production deadlines and expectations while assigning work to hourly production staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day workflow of production staff
- Manage approximately 20–30 employees in the facility
- Conduct ongoing performance evaluations and identify employees needing training or reinforcement
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the production process to ensure delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs
- Become subject matter expert in banner and flag assembly and finishing
- Ensure appropriate production rates are maintained to meet delivery deadlines
- Collaborate with customer service and sales departments to resolve quality concerns
- Identify bottlenecks or delays in production and ensure necessary labor, materials, and resources are available
- Use production planning and scheduling to prevent material shortages
- Supervise maintenance and repair of production machinery to prevent downtime or delays
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of sewing equipment with ability to maintain and repair industrial machines
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and manage production teams effectively
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
