Key Responsibilities

• Operate conventional (non-CNC) lathes to shape and finish materials
• Measure materials using tools such as calipers and measuring devices
• Perform calculations using decimals and fractions for precise measurements
• Cut and grind rubber materials to specification
• Apply adhesives as part of the belt assembly process
• Read and interpret basic blueprints
• Use power tools safely and effectively
• Maintain consistent production quality and accuracy
• Follow all safety standards and maintain a clean workspace

Work Environment

• Clean, well-lit, and organized facility
• Strong ventilation system in place
• Exposure to rubber materials and adhesives
• Presence of a dog on-site (must not have allergies)

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hands
• Experience with measuring, including fractions and decimals
• Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools
• Comfortable operating or learning conventional lathes
• Experience with power tools required
• Ability to read basic blueprints (preferred for casting-related work)
• Previous experience in carpentry, flooring installation, or similar hands-on trades is a plus
• Must be able to speak and understand English
• Must be reliable with strong attendance

Additional Qualifications

• No rubber allergies
• Comfortable working with glue and associated fumes (ventilation provided)
• Ability to perform light to heavy physical work
• Willingness to complete a working interview as part of the hiring process
