Position: Manufacturing Technician

What You Will Experience in This Position:

  • Utilize computerized manufacturing technologies and related systems to fulfill production and customer requirements.
  • Perform set-up duties on fabrication equipment and safety devices per production documentation.
  • Position production materials and tooling, ensuring proper dimensions according to print specifications.
  • Operate and adjust various equipment, including controllers, and edit programs as per production documentation.
  • Adhere to established performance standards to meet production schedules.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or potential hazards to the team leader or appropriate resource.
  • Ensure that products and systems meet CADDY quality standards.
  • Inspect work to verify dimensional requirements per prints.
  • Perform specified preventative maintenance procedures and assist with troubleshooting systems.
  • Act promptly to address and report problems related to equipment, operations, or materials.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

You Have:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of prior experience in machine operating.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for material fabrication calculations.
  • Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process.
  • Familiarity with safety policies and procedures and the ability to promote compliance.
  • Skills in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Mechanical repair or troubleshooting skills.
  • Forklift license or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to lift, slide, and handle heavy gauges of material.
  • Proficiency in reading and using measuring equipment (e.g., tape measure, caliper).
  • Ability to support continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor.
  • Capability to maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing business circumstances and thriving in a dynamic environment.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Vision: Must meet vision requirements as outlined by standard occupational guidelines.
  • Lifting: Average 20 lbs., up to 50 lbs.
  • Pushing: 12 lbs. to 50 lbs.
  • Sitting: Seldom, as required by the process.
  • Standing: Frequently, as required by the process.
  • Climbing: Seldom, as required by the process.
  • Kneeling: Occasionally, as required by the process.
  • Crouching/stooping: Occasionally, as required by the process.
  • Full Use: Job requires full range of upper extremities for material manipulation.
  • Simultaneous: Operating machinery and positioning production materials with high mental awareness and concentration.
  • Other: Repetitive motion with the upper body; fine manipulation using fingers and hands for gripping, measurement, and tool use.
