Job Title: Paraplanner / Financial Planning Associate
Location: Visalia, CA (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote possible)
Pay: $30–$35/hour
Type: FT, Eval to hire | M-F, 8 to 5
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Paraplanner / Financial Planning Associate to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in supporting the financial planning process, ensuring timely delivery of plans, and providing exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the financial planning team with plan preparation, updates, and renewals
- Ensure timely delivery of financial plans and follow up on outstanding items
- Collect, maintain, and verify client financial information
- Prepare financial summaries, analyses, and planning materials
- Document assumptions, calculations, and all client activity in Redtail
- Participate in client meetings and take detailed notes as needed
- Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely, professional manner
- Assist with incoming calls and ensure proper routing
- Manage financial plan payments and track related documentation
- Coordinate and follow up on action items with clients and internal team members
- Conduct case-by-case research to support planning strategies
- Collaborate with advisors and planning team on client strategies
- Act as a liaison between advisor and external partners (e.g., IWC)
- Assist in preparing advisors for client meetings
- Support client relationship management, account reviews, and service initiatives
- Screen referrals and prospects
- Help improve processes to enhance planning efficiency and consistency
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with compliance standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications
- Experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CRM systems (Redtail experience a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
