A well-established professional services firm in the Visalia area is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Accountant to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Prepare financial statements, workpapers, and supporting schedules.
- Conduct tax research and assist with tax planning projects.
- Communicate with clients regarding accounting and tax matters.
- Collaborate with team members to complete engagements accurately and on schedule.
- Assist with client bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Support and mentor junior staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of tax preparation and accounting principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
- CPA, EA, or progress toward certification is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
