Express Employment Professionals is now hiring for a General Maintenance Tech in Colorado Springs! The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained. This role supports building operations through hands-on maintenance, basic custodial tasks, and grounds upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor building repairs including painting, patching drywall, and basic carpentry
- Replace light bulbs, air filters, and other routine building components
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies
- Provide basic custodial support as needed
- Conduct general grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal
- Identify maintenance issues and report them to management
- Assist with preventive maintenance tasks
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications
- Experience in general maintenance, facilities, or a related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor work as needed
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to various weather conditions
