We are seeking temporary full-time HEDIS Administrative support Representatives for annual HEDIS project with local health insurance company.  The Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) is a tool used by more than 90% of America’s health plans to measure performance on important dimensions of care and service.

 

Position Summary:

Annual HEDIS data collection process requires HEDIS administrative support representatives to effectively manage the request, retrieval and processing of all incoming fax and paper documentation necessary to perform HEDIS reviews on medical records obtained from provider offices

Candidate will work as part of the HEDIS Medical Record Review (MRR) Team to perform duties related to the request and retrieval of medical records. This is a temporary position that will run approximately January 13th - April 30, 2026.  This position requires full availability during the assignment. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.  More flexible Hours may be considered if needed.

 

Job Description:

  • Position is based in Grand Junction, Colorado, with possibility of remote work as project allows.  
  • Candidate will work under supervision of HEDIS project management staff to ensure that medical records are requested and processed in a timely and thorough manner, while maintaining HIPAA Privacy and Security guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively request medical record documentation necessary to support the HEDIS project. Requires excellent phone, verbal and customer service skills
  • Position demands flexibility, professional demeanor and ability to meet project deadlines while working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidate must be organized and possess a keen sense of attention to detail
  • Position demands quick learning and thorough follow-up on assigned tasks  
  • Experience with basic office equipment required, including phones, fax, copier, etc.
  • Strong computer skills; including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours/week based on project needs
  • Previous customer service over the phone is preferred.

Services to be performed:

  1. Login to abstraction software application to view fax/mail chase information, to view assignments and to keep track of task progress
  2. Make initial and follow-up calls to provider offices to request medical record documentation.  
  3. Keep tracking record of correspondence with provider locations and when records are received
  4. Send fax/mail request to provider office and confirm receipt of request
  5. Research providers contact information as needed; Enter information for missing or not found records into software application.
  6. Process electronic records and name PDF files using designated naming convention 
  7. Confirm medical record is legible, complete and orientation is correct
  8. Follow-up on failed faxes and missing or incomplete records
  9. Maintain and comply with all HIPPA guidelines
  10. Assist with other fax/mail duties as necessary
