Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals seek a motivated Warehouse Shift Lead to oversee daily operations, support team performance, and ensure warehouse excellence. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring others while actively contributing to warehouse productivity and customer satisfaction.
Compensation: $17.00+ per hour
Position Type: Full-Time
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse associates during assigned shifts
- Assign workloads, coordinate team activities, and ensure operational goals are achieved
- Manage inventory control processes using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Oversee forklift operations and material handling activities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Provide hands-on assistance with picking, packing, receiving, and inventory tasks as needed
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and maintain workflow continuity
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2+ years of previous warehouse leadership, supervisory, or shift lead experience
- Pass background and drug screening
- Must have reliable transportation
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Forklift experience required; certification preferred
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Knowledge of OSHA and warehouse safety regulations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with warehouse equipment
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely
- Self-motivated with a positive, "can-do" attitude
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
