Job Full Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tool Crib Attendant to support the setup, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial vending machines for tools and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) products. This role combines technical service, inventory management, and direct customer interaction. You will serve as the primary point of contact for machine servicing, inventory replenishment, and customer support within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up, program, and troubleshoot tool and MRO industrial vending machines at customer sites.

Locate and track lost or misplaced tools and equipment.

Maintain the tool crib in a clean, orderly, and well-maintained condition.

Respond to multiple service calls daily; create and log detailed service tickets.

Maintain accurate inventory records for each vending machine both remotely and onsite.

Quickly respond to customer requests for replenishment and new product lines within their Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.

Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup: pick, load, pack, wrap, label, and ship.

Receive, sort, and organize materials/items on racks, shelves, or bins according to standard procedures.

Communicate professionally, courteously, and promptly with all customer personnel.

Collaborate with Field Sales, Sales Managers, and VMI Managers to ensure high levels of service and customer satisfaction.

Assist with additional tasks and projects as needed to meet business requirements.

Continuously uphold and improve departmental efficiency and service quality.
Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age or older (required to operate a company vehicle).

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Strong technical aptitude for vending machine setup, programming, and troubleshooting.

Ability to plan, organize, and perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal.

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and prolonged standing.

Experience with tool crib operations, vending systems, or MRO inventory preferred.
-
Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and handheld scanning devices is a plus.
