Job Full Description

We have been asked by a client in Carmel, IN to help them find a Bookkeeper. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and managing all aspects of accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments and receivables. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain financial records and uphold the company's financial integrity.

 

This opportunity is a direct hire job paying $55,000 to $60,000 a year. After training, you will be able to work from home one day a week. You also will have access to benefits including medical, dental, vision, a 401K with matching, and paid time off.

 

What will you do as the Bookkeeper?

  • Receive and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate approvals.
  • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Reconcile accounting transactions and ensure timely payments.
  • Resolve any discrepancies with vendors.
  • Process incoming payments and reconcile bank deposits to software systems.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoice inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and address any issues promptly.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounting transactions.
  • File and archive invoices, receipts, and related documentation.
  • Assist in generating financial reports related to accounts payable.
  • Provide periodic updates on outstanding payments and financial status.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to accounting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What qualifications will you have as the Bookkeeper?

  • An Associate’s degree or higher in a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
