We have been asked by a premier eyeglass lens manufacturer in Indianapolis to help them find a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our client's customers, aiding, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

 

This opportunity is a direct hire job opportunity paying $18 to $22.00 an hour, depending on experience.

 

Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What will you do as a Customer Service Representative?

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide information about products, services, and company policies
  • Process and prioritize customer orders, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping
  • Trace lenses as needed
  • File lenses in the frame wall bins to be pulled when the job is at that stage
  • Pull lenses for surface department as needed
  • Match frames to orders as they come in
  • Receive frames and enter job into DVI software program
  • Prepare finished jobs for shipping out: Pulling completed jobs from bins, packing the boxes, putting labels, and packing slips in boxes & prepare for UPS pick up
  • Address and resolve customer concerns, complaints, or issues
  • Collaborate with other departments to address complex issues
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Document customer interactions and resolutions

What qualifications will you have as a Customer Service Representative?

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus
  • Prior experience working with an optician or in an ophthalmologist’s office is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Familiarity with customer service software. Experience with DVI is a plus
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
