We have been asked by a client in Noblesville, IN to help them find an Accounts Receivable Specialist with construction accounting and billing experience. In this role, you will manage the full accounts receivable cycle for a building project management company, including project setup, managing delivery tickets, progress and contract billing, purchase orders, and understanding the nuances of home builder billing cycles, collections, payment application, and reconciliation. Your work will directly support healthy cash flow and operational efficiency. 2–3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable for a home builder or general contractor focused on residential or light commercial construction is required.
Pay, Hours, and Benefits:
- Pay: $27.00 per hour
- Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday

What will you do as an Accounts Receivable Specialist?
- Set up customer accounts and job files in accounting and project management systems
- Prepare and submit accurate invoices, including AIA billing formats
- Track retainage, change orders, and allowances with proper documentation
- Submit pay applications and ensure lien waiver compliance
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due invoices
- Communicate with clients to resolve billing issues and maintain relationships
- Record and apply incoming payments accurately
- Reconcile daily deposits and maintain cash receipt logs
- Prepare AR aging reports and weekly cash forecasts
- Assist with month-end close and maintain accurate records for audits
What qualifications will you have as an Accounts Receivable Specialist?
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2–3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable for a home builder or general contractor focused on residential or light commercial construction is required.
- Strong knowledge of the full AR cycle and project-based invoicing
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
