Physical Plant Coordinator Skilled
Location: Covington, LA
Pay: $24/hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable Skilled Physical Plant Coordinator in Covington, LA to support maintenance operations and daily shop activities. This role is primarily office-based within the maintenance shop, assisting with work order coordination, communication, and overall organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with FIIX CMMS work order workflow (training provided; experience preferred)
- Serve as shop foreman by tracking high-value tools and maintaining organization
- Handle administrative tasks, including phone communication with staff and contractors
- Pick up parts and supplies as needed
- Take meeting notes using an AI device (training provided)
- Provide limited maintenance support during emergencies
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (Friday–Friday rotation among 4–6 staff)
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and maintenance practices
- Entry-to-moderate computer skills
- CMMS experience preferred
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
