Busbar Electrician
Location: Slidell, LA
Pay: $28/hour
We are seeking an experienced Busbar Electrician for a position in Slidell, LA. This role is responsible for installing, replacing, rewiring, and setting up electrical aluminum panels and busbar systems used in electrical distribution equipment.
Responsibilities
- Replace and rewire electrical components and systems
- Install and set up electrical aluminum panels
- Assemble, install, and maintain busbar systems
- Work with conductive bars made of copper and aluminum
- Install and inspect support insulators, connectors, and protective enclosures including busways and bus ducts
- Read and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and specifications
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with electrical codes and company standards
Requirements
- Valid Electrical License required
- Prior experience as a Busbar Electrician or in industrial/commercial electrical work
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, panels, and substations
- Ability to safely use electrical tools and equipment
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, standing, and lifting
- Ability to work in industrial environments
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as needed
