Welder II - MIG/TIG/Flux Core
Location: Covington, LA
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Position Type: Full-Time

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Welder II for a manufacturing facility in Covington. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder with experience working on stainless steel and carbon steel materials using MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding processes.

Responsibilities
- Weld stainless steel and carbon steel parts and assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and welding procedures
- Produce quality welds in various welding positions
- Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
- Use MIG, TIG, Flux Core, Stick, and oxy-acetylene welding equipment
- Grind, clean, and finish welded components
- Troubleshoot welding equipment as needed
- Maintain production and quality records
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical school training preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of welding experience
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and safely
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
- Ability to wear required PPE and welding gear
