Inside Sales Representative

Harvey, LA + Full-Time + $22/hour + Monday-Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM + Limited OT/Rare Occasion Weekend Work

A company in Harvey, LA is seeking a professional, customer focused Inside Sales Representative to join its team. This role is responsible for assisting customers at the sales counter and over the phone, processing orders, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting sales growth through excellent service and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in person, by phone, and through email.
• Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to generate sales opportunities.
• Respond to inbound inquiries and convert leads into sales.
• Recommend products and services based on customer needs.
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and explain pricing and credit terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and track product availability.
• Coordinate deliveries and provide estimated delivery dates.
• Work closely with outside sales representatives to support customer accounts.
• Enter and maintain customer information in company systems.
• Resolve customer concerns related to orders, deliveries, and products.
• Build long-term relationships by providing outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or a combination of related experience and education.
• Previous customer service, inside sales, retail sales, or industrial sales experience preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based order entry systems.
• Ability to learn technical product information and communicate it effectively to customers.

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, sitting, reaching, and use of hands.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse and customer service environment.
