Job Title: Maintenance Controls / Mechanical Technician
Location: Brighton, Mi
Shift/Schedule Options: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Monday-Friday, Overtime available as needed.
Pay Rate:
$28.00 – $36.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Position Summary: Direct Hiring
The Maintenance Controls/Mechanical Technician supports machine shop operations with a primary focus on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining CNC equipment and related controls systems. This role involves electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting while maintaining documentation and supporting production uptime.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot CNC machine control systems and associated components.

Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics and ladder logic.

Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair and maintenance work.

Complete detailed documentation of work performed, parts used, and time allocation in CMMS.

Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement permanent corrective actions.

Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer specifications and evaluate findings for repair priority.

Support continuous improvement efforts across equipment reliability, safety, and workflow efficiency.

Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and follow all safety protocols.
Qualifications:

CNC repair experience required.

Proficient with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Siemens CNC control systems.

Strong communication skills — written and verbal.

Experience working with 120VAC, 208VAC, and 480VAC industrial electrical systems.

Knowledge of rigging, machine leveling, geometric alignment, and equipment setup.

Ability to diagnose faults and repair electrical and mechanical systems effectively.

Willing to work overtime when required.
