Production Administrator
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25–$28 per hour (based on experience)
Position Summary
The Production Administrator supports production operations both directly and indirectly by managing documentation, data entry, reporting, and general administrative functions within a manufacturing environment. This role also provides front-office support, assists with plant coordination activities, and contributes to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the plant safety program and follow all safety protocols.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors at the main plant entrance.
- Support production floor activities as needed, including:
- Locating inventory
- Creating and applying inventory labels
- Assisting with special projects
- Prepare, maintain, and file production-related documentation, including:
- Daily production logs
- Labor summaries
- Batch profiles
- Deviations from standards
- Cycle counts
- Generate reports and perform high-volume data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
- Verify that breakroom and front entrance monitors are displaying required information.
- Monitor and restock breakroom consumable supplies as needed.
- Check inventory levels in PPE vending machines and restock as required.
- Perform routine checks of audiovisual equipment in conference rooms.
- Scan and file vendor invoices.
- Scan daily and weekly pre-use checklists.
- Monitor the reservation calendar and assist with visiting groups or events as needed.
- Coordinate food and supply deliveries for plant events and meetings.
- Order and maintain office supply inventory.
- Research potential vendors and obtain quotes for evaluation.
- Assist with new hire orientation when needed.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with peers and coworkers.
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative or production support experience.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or plant environment.
