Machine Operator – Food Production (Refrigerated Environment)

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Location: Swedesboro, NJ
Schedule: 7am-3pm
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred

Position Summary

We are seeking reliable and motivated Machine Operators to join our food production team. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced, refrigerated food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to follow food safety procedures, and a commitment to quality and productivity.

Essential Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor food production machinery according to established procedures.
• Inspect products to ensure quality and food safety standards are met.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot minor operational issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Assist with product changeovers and equipment cleaning as needed.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience preferred.
• Food production experience is a plus.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.
