Spare Parts Customer Service Representative

Swedesboro, NJ $22-$23 per Hour Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

A growing industrial equipment manufacturer in the Swedesboro area is seeking a Spare Parts Customer Service Representative to join its Spare Parts Department. This position is ideal for someone with a mechanical background who is interested in moving into an office-based role supporting customers and internal operations.

The company is willing to train the right candidate on blueprint reading and product-specific knowledge. Mechanical aptitude and industry experience are valued more heavily than prior customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with spare parts inquiries, orders, and product information
• Identify and recommend replacement parts for machinery and equipment
• Review technical drawings and blueprints to determine correct parts
• Prepare quotations and process customer orders
• Communicate with customers via phone and email
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate order fulfillment
• Maintain records and update information in company systems
• Utilize Microsoft Outlook and basic Excel spreadsheets
• Provide professional and timely customer support

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical experience
• Automotive parts department experience
• Maintenance, machine shop, production floor, or equipment service experience
• Experience working with mechanical components and assemblies

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Outlook and Excel
• Ability to learn and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who understands mechanical equipment and parts and wants to transition into a professional office environment. Candidates from manufacturing facilities, maintenance departments, machine shops, automotive dealerships, parts counters, or similar industries are highly encouraged to apply.

Prior customer service experience is a plus but not required. Training will be provided for candidates who possess the mechanical knowledge and aptitude needed for the role.
