Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support day-to-day facility, warehouse, and production equipment operations at a distribution and manufacturing site in Guilderland, NY. This hands-on role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring equipment reliability in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, maintaining safety compliance, and supporting overall operational efficiency. This position works independently while coordinating closely with operations teams and outside vendors to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.


What You’ll Do

Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on warehouse, production, and industrial equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on powered equipment, including reach trucks and battery charging systems.

Monitor battery systems for performance, charging efficiency, and safety compliance.

Troubleshoot basic electrical and hydraulic systems as needed.

Coordinate with external vendors for parts procurement, specialized repairs, and service support.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and spare parts inventory.

Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Support facility operations with additional maintenance tasks as required.


What We’re Looking For

1–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; basic electrical and hydraulic knowledge.

Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial or warehouse equipment.

Familiarity with safety protocols, including LOTO and OSHA standards.

Self-directed, dependable, and able to prioritize tasks independently.

Strong communication skills for working with operations teams and vendors.

High School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
