Fit Welder
Location: Shawnee Fabrication Facility
CLM Construction is seeking an experienced Fit Welder to join our fabrication team. The Fit Welder is responsible for accurately fitting and welding pipe, fittings, structural components, and other fabricated assemblies according to approved drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
The Fit Welder will read and interpret fabrication drawings, spool sheets, isometrics, and weld maps to properly lay out, align, fit, tack, and weld components. This position will ensure assemblies are accurately positioned and prepared for final welding while maintaining proper dimensions, alignment, and tolerances.
The Fit Welder will operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools while following approved WPS requirements and all company safety procedures. The position will work closely with other welders, fitters, the Shop Foreman, and QA/QC to maintain production schedules and quality standards.
Previous pipe or structural fabrication experience is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to read fabrication drawings and understand basic welding and fit-up requirements. Experience with measuring tools, grinders, cutting equipment, and welding processes is strongly preferred.
