Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a finance team for a temporary project, lasting minimum 4-6 weeks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage 100. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming payments and apply them to customer accounts accurately.
- Conduct credit analysis to assess customer creditworthiness.
- Maintain detailed records of accounts receivable transactions and ensure accuracy in coding.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients, following up on overdue accounts as necessary.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile discrepancies in accounts.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements as needed.
- Support medical billing processes by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record management.
- Analyze account statements and prepare reports on account status for management review.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting field.
- Proficiency in Sage 100 and other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis principles and practices.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient 10 key typing skills for accurate data entry.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in accounting or finance is preferred.
